Right on Target with Sweaters and Scarves

by Heather

After a fun-filled, crazy week of motorcycling and partying at AZ Bike Week, it's time to get back to "regular" clothing and out of leather and bling. I went into my local Target store the other day to return some clothing that I had bought for the granddaughter -- really cute but too small. She grew another size while I wasn't looking. Anyway, I purposely did not get a cart because I wasn't going to shop, but while taking a quick trip through, I found a couple of cardigans that would be just right for a spring day, and, of course, several other items, too. Needless to say, I should have taken the cart.

Target polka dot cardi and WHBM jeans; scarf is from a Cyclefest vendor

Michael Kors sandals and bag both from last summer
Chico's gold and white seashore-inspired bracelet; orange and gold BCBG ring; Michael Kors watch
Target earrings last year
New Target grey and yellow cardi that matches Target's yellow and grey sandals from last year; Chico's grey crop pants; print scarf from Cyclefest vendor
Target grey and yellow sandals; Michael Kors purse; yellow and silver BCBG ring; Michael Kors gold and silver watch; Chico's silver bracelet on left; silver bracelet on right from Arabian Horse Show vendor
Chico's grey chandelier earrings

Here's the good news about the sweaters: Target has them on sale right now for $15 each with many different colors and styles available. Just perfect for spring shopping, isn't it?

Wishing you a wonderful week!
Love,
Heather

  1. Wow, you did a great job shopping - the sweater's just adorable! Lovely looks, as per always, Heather, and thanks for linking up to Visible Monday.

  2. You look great in these outfits. I love the colors and how you used them to accent. You are lucky to find items from different seasons that match they usually change the colors ever so slightly. I find that to be so frustrating.

    1. Thanks, Adrienne. I know what you mean about the slight color variations from season to season. I was really surprised when I saw that the two items were almost identical in color. Doesn't usually happen that way.

    1. Thank you, Pam. The scarf was one of those pleasant shopping surprises. I had missed the vendor the first two nights we were at Cyclefest, but then I ran into her booth the third evening and found 3 scarves and a t-shirt -- priced reasonably, too. Love it when I can combine biking, partying and shopping all in one place!

  8. Love your finds AND your amazing style, but guess what you just made me do... start another shopping binge at Target! These are great finds. And guess what my post was about? Yep, shopping at Target for paper towels and buying shoes, lol! I do the same thing - no cart - thinking it will help. Just makes my arms hurt lugging my finds!

  9. This made me laugh because I'm guilty of doing the same thing (way too many times). Once again, your attention to detail is AWE- so amazing, seriously even your fun fingernails? I really love your ornage scarf, where did that come from? I see you found a fun yellow/grey scarf which is beautiful.

    1. Thank you, Trina. I found the orange scarf at one of the Cyclefest vendors here in Scottsdale for AZ Bike Week. I'll try to find the receipt and see exactly who she was and if there's a website. She had amazing scarves at reasonable prices.

  10. I love everything about these looks. LOVE the Michael Kors bags (the Hamilton bag? I have been coveting them), the orange polish is spectacular, and I think I've said this before, but that pave bracelet is to die for!

    1. Thanks, Liz! Love your nice comments. I'm short (5'1 1/2") so the bike has to be low to the ground. The Harley Deluxe is pretty low already plus I had it lowered one more inch. It's heavy (about 750 lbs) so nobody could keep it upright if it's going over. I try not to let that happen :)

It's probably a little too warm for scarves and sweaters here, too. But I leave early in the morning and it's just about right then for this look. Later in the day I keep the air conditioning going. Tomorrow is actually going to be cool for us, but next week we're into the 90s! Thanks for visiting.

    1. Oohhh, thanks for the heads up on the Chico's bracelet. Sounds just like something I'd love. The Target sandals are not the most comfortable so I wear them only when I know I won't be doing much standing or walking. It's too bad, though, isn't it, that good-looking sandals can't always be comfortable??

  46. A number of the modern day "Shazam" stories happen to be great.
.. but I also skip the unique, and its tone. Strangely, as
I study your write-up... I believed on the movie "Big" with Tom
Hanks. Inside a great deal of ways, Captain Marvel is the fact that character.

.. just with super-powers. Captain Marvel has powers
and entry to greater intelligence, but is still
at his core the youthful teen Billy Batson. Youthful Justice really nailed
this characterization most of the time... and it was amusing a bit once the teen heroes in
Younger Justice believed "adult" hero Cap was performing juvenile.
.. just before they realized he was actually their age.
