After a fun-filled, crazy week of motorcycling and partying at AZ Bike Week, it's time to get back to "regular" clothing and out of leather and bling. I went into my local Target store the other day to return some clothing that I had bought for the granddaughter -- really cute but too small. She grew another size while I wasn't looking. Anyway, I purposely did not get a cart because I wasn't going to shop, but while taking a quick trip through, I found a couple of cardigans that would be just right for a spring day, and, of course, several other items, too. Needless to say, I should have taken the cart.
Target polka dot cardi and WHBM jeans; scarf is from a Cyclefest vendor
Michael Kors sandals and bag both from last summer
Chico's gold and white seashore-inspired bracelet; orange and gold BCBG ring; Michael Kors watch
Target earrings last year
New Target grey and yellow cardi that matches Target's yellow and grey sandals from last year; Chico's grey crop pants; print scarf from Cyclefest vendor
Target grey and yellow sandals; Michael Kors purse; yellow and silver BCBG ring; Michael Kors gold and silver watch; Chico's silver bracelet on left; silver bracelet on right from Arabian Horse Show vendor
Chico's grey chandelier earrings
Here's the good news about the sweaters: Target has them on sale right now for $15 each with many different colors and styles available. Just perfect for spring shopping, isn't it?
Wishing you a wonderful week!
Love,
Heather
Wow, you did a great job shopping - the sweater's just adorable! Lovely looks, as per always, Heather, and thanks for linking up to Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Patti. I do like to shop, even when it happens accidentally!
DeleteHeather
You look great in these outfits. I love the colors and how you used them to accent. You are lucky to find items from different seasons that match they usually change the colors ever so slightly. I find that to be so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Adrienne. I know what you mean about the slight color variations from season to season. I was really surprised when I saw that the two items were almost identical in color. Doesn't usually happen that way.
DeleteHeather
Honestly Heather, you are the cutest thing ever. We MUST make plans to meet in real life. Pretty please?? I saw a bunch of bike weekers when we went climbing on Saturday, and thought of you guys!
ReplyDeleteXo,
Alyssa
You're too sweet, Alyssa. We should have a cup of tea in Carefree at the Tea Room, or maybe a drink at the Hideaway? Where did you go climbing? Somewhere in Anthem, I would guess. Thanks for dropping in!

Heather, you are the master of colors!! Love love the orange bag!
ReplyDeleteThe gray & yellow is gorgeous, too!
Hope you had a great week of biking!
Thanks, Jeannie. It was an absolutely beautiful weekend to be out on the bikes! Saw lots of good friends having a great time. We're already looking forward to Bike Week next year.

Looks like successful shopping to me!! I LOVE your orange scarf..you look great in both looks!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pam. The scarf was one of those pleasant shopping surprises. I had missed the vendor the first two nights we were at Cyclefest, but then I ran into her booth the third evening and found 3 scarves and a t-shirt -- priced reasonably, too. Love it when I can combine biking, partying and shopping all in one place!

Love your style! Scarves are so great and you wear them well!
ReplyDeleteReva
That's very kind of you, Reva. Thanks for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment.

Love the orange and sometimes you just find the right thing when you aren't really looking...
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! Thank you for stopping by.

Love your finds AND your amazing style, but guess what you just made me do... start another shopping binge at Target! These are great finds. And guess what my post was about? Yep, shopping at Target for paper towels and buying shoes, lol! I do the same thing - no cart - thinking it will help. Just makes my arms hurt lugging my finds!
ReplyDeleteXO ~Kim @ popcosmo.com
I laughed out loud when I read your comments. We are all so the same, aren't we, when it comes to shopping? Thanks, Kim!
DeleteHeather
This made me laugh because I'm guilty of doing the same thing (way too many times). Once again, your attention to detail is AWE- so amazing, seriously even your fun fingernails? I really love your ornage scarf, where did that come from? I see you found a fun yellow/grey scarf which is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Trina. I found the orange scarf at one of the Cyclefest vendors here in Scottsdale for AZ Bike Week. I'll try to find the receipt and see exactly who she was and if there's a website. She had amazing scarves at reasonable prices.

I love everything about these looks. LOVE the Michael Kors bags (the Hamilton bag? I have been coveting them), the orange polish is spectacular, and I think I've said this before, but that pave bracelet is to die for!
ReplyDeleteYup, it's the Hamilton bag by Michael Kors. I'm in a bit of a rut when it comes to purses. I love that bag so I have it in assorted colors. Thank you for your lovely comments!

Wow! - you really know how to rock those heels.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Just wish they were a little more comfortable. I always bring along another pair of orange sandals just in case :)
DeleteHeather
I always look forward to your posts, especially the outfit ones. We seem to have very similar taste and style. I think I'll be heading to Target today to check out those cardigans. Today is a state holiday here in Massachusetts so a little shopping is in order!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your next post.
Patricia
Ooohhh, a state holiday? You must go shopping then. I'm sure that's the purpose of the holiday, right? Nice to know we're on the same page with fashion! See you again next week.

Both outfits are pretty! Lovely accessories and perfect handbags. You wear scarfs to so beautifully.

Awesome combinations! That orange really catches the eye! The scarves are great with both outfits and I like how the 2nd scarf fits with the coloring on the shoulders of the sweater. It's hard to imagine you on a big motorcycle! You seem so petite!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Liz! Love your nice comments. I'm short (5'1 1/2") so the bike has to be low to the ground. The Harley Deluxe is pretty low already plus I had it lowered one more inch. It's heavy (about 750 lbs) so nobody could keep it upright if it's going over. I try not to let that happen :)

I just love your fashion style! Your colors are always so perfect and accessories so well chosen! Great outfits and you totally rock them! Ana
ReplyDeleteYou're too sweet, Ana. Thanks for taking the time to leave comments -- it's appreciated!

That's me clapping for your perfect accessorizing... can you hear it!! Fabulous.. just fabulous use of accessories... Target sweaters have never had it so good!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tamera. Just waiting for your accessories to be sold online. I know I'd find just the perfect items!

Heather, I love both outfits but orange is really made for you! You look so feminine and radiant in orange.

I also want to have a Target around! I love the shirt and the scarf - brilliant pattern mixing! And of course I adore your MK purse, but who don't?! I really love your new cardigan too!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Having a Target around is a little dangerous as you can see :)

Ooh la la, love all this orange, so cheerful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Wendy.

You have some superior color sense, young lady! Great looking in whatever you choose. Not cool enough here for scarves and sweaters the last few days, at least not until late in the evening ... I miss them!
ReplyDeleteHi Jan,
DeleteIt's probably a little too warm for scarves and sweaters here, too. But I leave early in the morning and it's just about right then for this look. Later in the day I keep the air conditioning going. Tomorrow is actually going to be cool for us, but next week we're into the 90s! Thanks for visiting.
Heather
I love the cheerful spring outfits! We are going to have a couple warm days in New Jersey this week so I am dying to throw on some fun clothes! Thanks for stopping by with your input! Cheers! - Shelley

Target gets you everytime, so hard to leave that store. Glad you had fun biking and you look great as usual in both of these outfits, but orange is definitely your color.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Alison! I look forward to seeing your great choices each week, too.

You always look so fab!!! I loved those grey and yellow sandals from target last year BUT just couldn't wear them!! The scarves are perfect - love them both! Hurry to Chico's to check out their new sea inspired bracelet - has shells trimmed out in gold - SO cute!!
ReplyDeleteOohhh, thanks for the heads up on the Chico's bracelet. Sounds just like something I'd love. The Target sandals are not the most comfortable so I wear them only when I know I won't be doing much standing or walking. It's too bad, though, isn't it, that good-looking sandals can't always be comfortable??
DeleteHeather
Love both of these outfits -- especially the yellow & grey..my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carly. I really like a grey and yellow color combination!

Love your orange outfit!!! I'm currently loving orange. It is such a fun and beautiful colour. :)
